SOURCE: RCA Pearl MP3 Player Major Problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

What I would recommend you to do is to plug in your device to your computer and format it..There might be some files that are corrupted..Formatting the device will delete all the songs you have in your device...After you format it, your problems should solve...
I hope that helps
Thank you

I have a Rca S2001 Jet Series Music player. I charged it using my computer. When attempting to turn it on, it would not. When connected to the wall on the charger it will work, but if not it wont.

Do you use the same cable to charge your device on computer and wall socket? If not that might be your problem. It might show that it’s charging but actually there’s no power supplying to the battery. If it is the same cable try another USB socket your motherboard or driver could start causing problems so I would suggest to try the cable you use on the wall socket on another computer if possible.

V-touch won't turn on

Check and see if you have a loose charge port on the V-Touch, or it could be a short in the cord. Try and plug it into a computer and see if it will come on. If not try using different USB ports on the computer (some work better than others.) if that does not work I would try a wall socket. You can get a USB to wall socket plug from almost any I-pod or I-phone. Droid and Android also it. If you still have no luck you could send it back to Visual Land for them to fix. If your warranty is still valid, they will fix it for free. Hope this helped.

Keeps turning off after about half a minute

Try plugging it in to a computer or wall socket, charging it, and trying again.

How to turn on

There should be a power switch on along the right side of it (see pictures here)

If it still doesn't turn on, then it probably needs to be charged.
Plug it in to the wall adapter it came with and leave that plugged into a wall socket overnight.
Then using the power switch should work.

Only works when plugged into power source

The battery will charge when running from mains. If you leave it plugged in for 20 minutes and then unplug, use and note how long before it shuts off, recharge again for 40 minutes and repeat. It shuould last a lot longer after a 40 min charge. And if it only lasts a minute or so after the first charge then the battery needs replacing (sometimes it's cheaper to replace the player) if it doesn't work at alll after 20min charge then definatly battery gone.

How do you recharge the battery on the mp3

good day,

your mp3 player must come out of the package complete with its accessories and, of course, a battery charger. just plug the charger on its appropriate socket in your mp3 player and plug it on your wall socket.

just follow the suggested number of hours for its initial charging and after that you can just check if it indicates "battery full."

i hope this helps

Mp3 frimwork

This happens with iPods sometimes. If it's a rechargeble battery than it may not have enough juice to communicate with the computer in which case you need to buy a wall socket plug to charge it. I'm not sure that's just a suggestion but you never know.

Sansa MP3 player charges, plays while plugged into wall, but not unplugged.

When you plug it into the wall make sure you turn it off and let it charge all the way before you start using it again. see if that helps

Frozen screen...

I also had this problem, and just unplugged it from my laptop and lt the player turn off by its self. I then plugged it back into the wall socket, so as not to "confuse" it with charging from the laptop.
All good again after that.
