Question about Samsung HLN5065W 50" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Samsung hln6065w blows dlp bulbs. someone said the board may be bad. what components are known to cause this on this model?
The N series, needs to be told via service menu options, what type of bulb is being installed.

Since it's a Samsung tv the parts that go out the most are ballast and color wheel, in this case it's possible that what's causing the bulb to blow up, it might be the ballast, that's sending irregular high voltage to the lamp and since it can take that much of energy that's why it blows.

ok thats good info. i would like to check the voltage going into the bulb from the ballast to see if its blowing the bulbs from overvoltage. I printed out an article on how to replace the ballast and i know what terminals the bulb plugs into. how much voltage does the ballast put into the bulb? is it contiunous voltage or does it vary?
