VK means black developer has reached end of life. You can safly carry on using the copier with this message displayed but over time the copy quality may slowly degrade. You will need to call a Sharp authorized dealer to replace the developer in the developer unit.

If you power the machine off and on and it comes back, try replacing the whole transfer belt unit. If it still comes back, sorry dude you're out of luck. Your copier can't swing the hinged portion of the transfer belt on and off your color drums because a badly designed gearshaft for your transfer lift motor has worn out and probably ate up a bearing or bushing as well. This is a known problem and Sharp has published a service bulletin addressing this. It may be motor rebuild time for you, with the new edition gearshaft.

Make sure the to pressure release levers on each side of the fuser are down. Turn the machine off for a minute then back on and should be fine.
