Hello I have a JVC TH-C30 and I have some movies burned on dvd's but when I play it on the JVC DVD player the movies skip but when I play them on another DVD player it plays fine, this happened once before and I sent it back to JVC but they said that nothing is wrong with it. When you play regular recorded dvd's from a store they play fine, is there a solution to this problem?
Check your formatting on the DVD recorder, you need to finalize the disk to be playable on "any" player. That should solve the issue. Your JVC is looking for specific code as it reads the disc, when it's missing or not understood by your JVC it will either stop play or skip over it's interperated missing info. Hope this helps
