Question about Boating
I'm not shure if I'm in the wright place to ask about my problem with my 60 hr evinrude. I'm removing the eng from the foot I've got them split about 1/4 inch apart & the eng. want come apart any more is there something I need to remove still have I misted something

SOURCE: Can not lower the motor manually
There is a screw usally on the right side looking at back of motor use large screw driver loosen motor will come down I guess you have trim and tilt

You could take off the lower unit and leave the boat home. All they need is the bottom. The propshaft seal can be cut from fishing line. There should be another seal on the shift assembly and a third on the powershaft. Some you could do, but the shop can pressure test before and replace only what you need. Then pressure test after the repair to verify it seals.

broke key off of ignition trying to jump over, can't find wire to keep motor running, will start, but not stay running cause wired to toggle switch. can u help, please thanks, wayne (20hp johnson/evinrude

I just read up on the removal of your carb, It says to remove the flywheel to get more room, and then the carb, the left side bolt is harder to get to but it can be done. Only get 1/6 turn of the wrench, remove the fuel line, and be careful not to lose any throttle parts. Hope this helps.

disconnect the lower unit from the power head . makeing sure where the shift rod position is . then you will be getting near the water pump impeller .if you get it wrong the shifting won't work
