Is there someplace to buy a whole rubber washer repair/rebuild kit for a Roundup 4gal BP sprayer? It's square and was built in 2005 unlike the rounded newer ones. thx joe

Need a rubber washer repair kit for an older (2005) Roundup 4 gal backpack sprayer. There is no model number on it but does say DB Smith on frame. This is a piston pump sprayer. Any help would be appreciated if you know who still sells a repair kit. thx joe

I've found buying one thats too big and cutting it to size and shape works best on my sprayer. You could go for a sheet of rubber and cut it all out with an exacto knife too.

SOURCE: how much roundup to 1 gal water forwatering can use

6 fluid ounces of Roundup (12 tablespoons) per gallon of water. Small weed seedlings can be killed with half this strength: 3 ounces per gallon. When using Roundup Super Concentrate, mix 2.5 ounces (5 tbsp.) with a gallon of water to control most weeds and a half-strength solution for small weeds. Roundup Pro Concentrate is the strongest solution available. Spray a mixture of 2 ounces (4 tbsp.) on weeds and half that amount of concentrate on emerging plants. Since Roundup doesn't discriminate between weeds and other plants, use the least amount of herbicide possible to protect desirable vegetation.

SOURCE: I have a 3 gal. back sprayer. When you try to

Hi there
There are many possible reasons for your sprayer not pressurizing. If the pump lever is moving freely and does not seem to be building pressure while pumping it is possible that the O-ring at the valve is damaged, the seal in the pressure regulator is leaking, the piston or the collar is worn. Any of these problems will require disassembly of the unit and inspection of each part. If you do feel resistance building as you pump but quickly loose pressure you likely have leaks in the diaphram, it's seal, the pressure cylinder or the tank itself.
If you are comfortable disassembling the unit and inspecting the parts for wear or damage most of the individual replacement parts are fairly easy to replace and readily available online from Solo or at many retail outlets and supply companies. Solo has done a great job with how-to videos and instructions for each procedure on their web site www.solousa.com
If you are not comfortable disassembling and repairing your sprayer yourself you can try contacting a mower/equipment repair shop in the Redding area as is seems the nearest Authorized Solo sprayer repair center is Cloverdale Saw in Cloverdale CA, 707-894-2273

Lid motors need replacement the unit is 12 years old do i rerpair or replace??

Not sure whether there is any easy way to repair these. However, it is unlikely these are sold separately. Will need to buy the whole kit.

I've just been given a roundup 2 gallon sprayer. It seems to me the top should be removable to add the liquids but I can't figure it out and don't want to experiment to the point that I damage...

Howdy MMis971,The sprayer just needs to be pushed down by the handle as you turn counter clockwise. This can be made a little easier by unscrewing the nozzle where it connects to the tank to release any pressure built up by pumping.

My sprayer is new, but does not keep the pressure, any idea's? It's a 2 gal, pump up type sprayer.

Check under the lid/cover for a rubber gasket. This may have gotten unseated when putting the sprayer top on. It must form a tight seal around the lip of the sprayer top in order to keep the pressure. Alternative: Put water in the sprayer leaving some air on top to build pressure. Put a few drops of dish soap inside and gently stir. Put the cover on, and tilt the sprayer to coat all areas at the top. Start pumping and see where the bubbles come out---there is your leak. If it is near where the sprayer hose enters, and it is a permanent mount, you may have a bad seal. If the sprayer hose unscrews, you may need a new rubber washer inside. If bubbles come out of the wand, or other plastic seams, you may have a crack in the plastic. Depending on the location, you could epoxy over the crack to seal it permanently. Good luck.

Roundup 2 Gallon Sprayer -- must have exceeded pressure. Now it will not hold ptessure. Gasget seal seems OK is there any "reset"

Hi,
There is a built in relief valve that is not keeping the pressure in...
these are very cheap plastic valves and so there probably is no fixing it...
I would buy another roundup with the sprayer and then dump the contents from the bad one into the new one ... the stuff does not go bad...

Fuel problems w/2005 poulan leaf blower.do i have to buy whole carb. kit for $23?

You can possibly repair this with just a "diaghram" kit. They have them for sale on Ebay and some online stores and they cost about 1/2 as much as a complete rebuild kit. Make sure you get the right one.
You can reference your carb here and get the exact part # for it if it is a Zama . RB=complete rebuild kit GND=gasket+diaghram kit: http://www.zamacarb.com/pdfs/QuickKit_CR2010.pdf
