They're all set to seeing frequency you need to go into your owners manual and check how to change wireless frequency

Rind doorbell doesn't stop ringing

it is possible that the doorbell button is sticking down and keeping contact - so the doorbell keeps chiming.

My Byron door bell has started ringing itself at random times - not welcome at three in the morning

It is NOT random.

You have a ghost visiting your house.

(or a little rats azz neighbor kid)

Replace any batteries. Low batteries can cause false rings in wireless doorbells, too.

I still think it is ghosts, however.

Everytime somebody rings my neighbors doorbell, our doorbell goes off as well. can i change something to make that not happeb anymore?

It appears that you and your neighbor's wireless door bell are on the same radio frequency. You or your neighbor will need to change their base station (were the sound come out of) unit. If you or your neighbor still have their Owner's Manual you can find out how to do it in the Trouble Shooting Section. If that's not available, remove the cover, if necessary and you will find a small panel board with a series of movable slid switches (they are very small) . Moving those to a different position will change the frequency. The inside of the back cover should have instructions on how to reprogram it. DESA International bankrupted over a year ago, but some manuals in a pdf format are still available on line. Try http://www.desatech.com/ as there may be an Owners Manual that's still available. Different divisions of DESA International were sold off to other companies during the bankruptcy, so you may be led to another site. Good luck.

My samsung frig suddenly started clicking (the bell that lets you know the frig door is opened.) checked to make sure all doors were closed but bell keeps ringing and now the temp. is rising inside. what's...

Hi,

Can you pull the gasket back slightly (flat screwdriver or dull knife, don`t cut/rip the gasket) from the side of either fridge door and tell me if the cabinet light is on inside ? I need to know if the light is on without opening either door.

I`ll watch for your reply.

Trying to reset the code for my DESA wireless doorbell but the only combination that works is 5,6 & 7. Need another code because neighbor has that code.

It would appear that there are pins in both the ringer and door button and you have to change them so they match. To remove the door button, slide the case straight up slightly (maybe 1/8 inch). Pry the top of the case away from its base and slide down to remove the entire button assembly. The pins are inside, next to the battery. 5/6/7 seems to be the default, so any other combination of three pins should solve your neighborhood conflict. (Don't use pin 8. That one changes the ring from a two-tone chime to a 16-note sequence.)

The bell that sounds off when you open the door

Oh wow, I bet that drives you insane. The only reason I can think of it doing that is if the door switch located in the lock mechanism has malfunctioned.

Chances are good that you will have to replace the locking mechanism, BUT, sometimes the electrical switch in the mechanism gets dirty and sticks.

This can often be corrected by performing the following:
1. Thoroughly spray the door switches (on each door) with:

  • Cleaning spray - clear the sludge out of the mechanism - electronic contact cleaner, carb, brake, etc

  • Air, canned or even better, from a compressor

  • Spray lubricant - Dry lube
2. Open and close each door several times to work the lube into the mechanism
This is usually sufficient to clean the electrical & plunger mechanism inside the door switch.
If this doesn't work, you could remove the door panel and do the spray treatment from the inside also.

If this doesn't work, the switch may have to come out for repair (see below), or replacement.

MC 602 one of door bells rings intermitently.

I pulled the MC 602 from its wall case to examine wiring. Found a most unprofessional mess of wire connections. Cleaned up wiring and clipped the extra exposed shielding. Problem has not reoccurred, but time will tell it has sometimes been days between false rings.

The ignition bell wont stop ringing

You need to unplug the door harness one at a time to locate which door is causing the problem. Once the door is located, you can replace the switch which is located on the lock mechanism.
