My new computer supports Windows 7, how can I install a driver to be compatible with my camera and computer?
Do you really need a driver?
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Weird.. I got this same camera secondhand as a gift without a driver or anything, and didn't need one...just plugged the USB in my computer's USB port (and its not even the original USB, found one that happened to fit the camera in my junk drawer!) And it uploads pics just fine.. I didn't need a driver, apparently the software is built into the camera itself so I didn't have to install a thing. (my camera the Olympus D-540 zoom, 3.2 MP with "Camedia" above the model # on the front). Then again, we have a brand-new comp (HP) so it has the latest version of Vista so maybe that makes a difference... Anyway It works for me without a driver installed, good luck!
