I bought a used avanti freezer model # cf2010 and it didnt come with a drain plug. Where can I get one?

Use a steamer to blast the drain clear... sometimes you need to install what is called a heat probe that feeds into the drain tube to keep it from freezing over... Help Me Find My Model Number RepairClinic com

if you got the right basket the handles are already attached
they are either folded into the basket or lift up on the outside to sit on the edge of the freezer

check the over load and relay on the compressor

Is your circulating fan working?
Sometimes they stick and need a shot of WD 40 and then work
it back and forth a little until it wants to take off again. Keep me informed

You can buy a kit from whirlpool. In the kit is a metal tab that mounts onto the defrost heater. It is long enough to go into the hole. When the heater comes on for defrost the heat transfers down to the hole and keeps it from getting plugged up with ice. Part number 819043

Sounds like your freezer has lost its charge of refrigerant. That motor sound is the compressor. And the internal thermal overload is tripping it out every minute because refrigerant also cools the compressor motor. Have a licensed repairman find the leak, seal it,and recharge it with R134a refrigerant.

you have a cloged evap. drain. the rf is defrosting properly but with the drain be clogged the water has to go somewhere which is generally in the crisper draws on top and bottom models. two way to clear up this issue. turn rf OFF for at least 48 to 72 hrs. to allow the drain to de-ice or take matters into your own hands and take the back panel off of the freezer and using boiling hot water pour it down the evap. drain tube until it flows like you just flushed a tiolet

only reason refrigerent may be needed is that there is a leak so adding more will achieve nothing. unlikely to be needed. i assume compressor is running. probable causes of no cooling are compressor fault or a blockage in the pipe sysyem. not diy
