I think there is some infection which is not allowing to install the app.
so lets take care of it in few steps and then you will have no issues at all !
You Need To Boot Your Computer In Safemode With Networking By Pressing F8 On Keyborad At System Restart And Then Follow The Procedures Given Below ....
step 1. go to the given link https://www.malwarebytes.org/ and download free copy of malawarebytes , install it and update the database and run it with complete scan , and delete all the infections found
step 2. restart you computer and now you are ready for lifecam installation.

hope this solution helps you !

thanks and regards

SOURCE: microsoft lifecam 2.04 not installing

Try disconnecting the camera from the computer USB port and reinstalling the software program . When the software program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so then. This is a common mistake, people do is to connect the camera up to the computer before installing the software. Hope this is of some help. Bud

SOURCE: Software Installation of Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 terminates with an error "Insufficient free space"

I purchaased MS Lifecam from Walmart at a bargain price of $50.00 yesterday. I quickly installed the s/w on my windows 2003 XP under 5 mins. The camera worked for exactly 20 mins. I opted out from installing the Live Messanger ( don't need it). However the s/w crashed within 20 mins, complaining of a fatal error, which it could not Debug, but insisted on sending off the report to MS..which I declined. After trying to reload the s/w on the same computer for 3 more times, which involved remove and re-install..I finally gave up on the 2003 XP. I then tried to load the s/w on my windows 7 laptop..got the same error message. After messing with it for at least 5 hours, and ruining half my day, I returned the product back to walmart and got my money back. What a scam!! The MS Support site tells you to reinstall windows 7 and then try to reload the d- -n!! s/w again. What kind of Freaking solution is that??!! BTW I have plenty of space on laptop, 80 gigs..so space was not an issue.

I am using windows7 and i am using vx-1000 as my webcam, however, after the driver being installed... i still can't use my webcam...

I have win 7 and the VX 1000 with no issues although win 7 did not initially find it properly and marked it as unknown device

However I used the win 7 ACTION CENTRE to let it fix itself. It did say the drivers were not logo passed but you can ignore that if you see it.

Try the action centre first and let me know how you get on

How to install microsoft cammera

Simply visit the Microsoft Hardware download page and select your model from the dropdowns. Install your software (you'll need administrator access) and restart your system.

Some drivers are packaged as 32 or 64-bit. To find out which version of Windows you're using, check out this page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827218. Note that the instructions for Vista are the same for 7.

Unable to load software VX1000 Life cam

Did you connect your webcam to your PC before you started your installation? Most of these hardwares expect you to install the software first. They will ask for the hardware later on during the installation.

Also, check you have used the correct driver for the OS.

My web cam wont work

No, most likely some resident software is accessing the camera, or the camera needs updated drivers. try updating to the newest software and make sure the cam software isnt booting up before the MSN client
