You know the power button in the front? If you open the cover to see the insides, there is the HD that is kind of covered by a metal slot (has like holes...). Well, the HD is right next to the power button in the front, but inside.... Here is a picture. The wires are attached to the HD. yup.

I have one as well, I bought 60" the adjusting wheel will allow for this to fit. works fine

From a general look on Dells website your computer only supports PCI style cards. You might have a completely different style of motherboard in there depending on when your PC was made. The only way to know whats truely inside your computer is to look up the Service Tag that is on the outside of the case. You can also take the side cover off (after you unplug the computer) and look inside if the motherboard (towards the bottom) in there only has 3 Cream colored slots on it then it only supports PCI cards.

It could be your PSU (power supply unit) inside your desktop.

At any rate, I need to know more about its condition i.e. actions taken before incident before I can give better solutions.

get a measureing tape measure inside dimensions multiply them together eg: a freezer with an inside dimension of 2' X 2' X 3' would equal 12 cubic feet if want an exact value measure in inches 24" X 24" X 36" = 20736 and divide by 1728 will give you cubic feet cool eh.. where did I get the 1728? (12 X 12 X 12) =1728 converts cubic inches to cubic feet Good Luck let me know when you pour that cement pad for under your shed I tell you how many yards to order

There should be a gray button type thing on the top of the back end of the case and the bottom. You will need to push both in at the same time to get the case open. Push both in and slide the case apart. I found that having somone pull the case apart while i push on the buttons is easier.
