Your hi-fi is not part of a hard drive or a shuttle computer. If you have a problem with your Hi-Fi, it would be best to tell us the make and model and ask in the Hi-Fi or stereo section.

1910 Singer Hand Crank Machine shuttle hitting

Ok... great. That helps. Here is a manual for the 128 (the more modern version of the 27/28), on PDF page 9 there is an adjustment instructions for the shuttle area. Your shuttle carrier will be slightly different (no button to help remove the shuttle) but the adjustments are the same. Don't be a afraid to "tweak" your carrier gently with a pair of pliers if needed. I found my carrier had been bent slightly a few tweaks, straightened it out and gave me better results. The parts are hard to find and expensive.

Shuttle won't boot up

test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions IDE or SATA

the leads from your (motherboard to your hard drive) make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty

even something as small as an electrical extension or a faulty fan lead can cause you problems computer needs all of the data and power to travel through every working device and to have an end for a computer to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd drives need to have current go through make sure these devices are working

check the CPU make sure it has thermal paste and dust free secure seating

also check your computer ram modules and cmos battery make sure it has charge and they are dust free and securely seated some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

hope it helps

The handwheel on my embroidery machine is hard to turn and the motor is seems to be working hard to make the needle move.

Turn off the power.

Remove the needle plate, bobbin and bobbin casing.

Clean the shuttle and surrounding area, look for thread snips that may be entwined in the movement of the shuttle and remove.

If the problem continues, you will have to resort to taking the machine in for service.

Bought 2130 from work . The IT person there removed both hard drive and the shuttle in which the hard drive is loaded, need specs on replacing these Model #'s a drawing if possible. I have a samsung model...

Ask the IT person for the shuttle/carrier for the hard drive, it does not affect the company's data. You can also ask the IT person for the details and hard disk capacity so you can purchase a replacement hard drive.
This model Compaq uses a 2 1/2" IDE hard drive probably 20 to 40 Gb capacity, It is near impossible to purchase one with this small capacity, you might get a 80 Gb capacity or higher.

Cannot get the shuttle race and bobbin case in properly. It keeps falling out, and the foot will not go into the notch.

Will the shuttle lock in place without a bobbin inside?  If it does, look for thread in there, wrong bobbin, etc.  If it doesn't, maybe the shuttle is bent?  Really hard to tell without seeing it...  Hope this helps.

Mk40vn

I did go to Shuttle to look for a bios upgrade & Shuttle does not list any bios files. I found one bios file at Softpedia & downloaded it to see the date. The .rom file is dated 11/28/2003. I gather your 2003 is close.

The current bios does not allow you to clock the CPU to its correct frequency.
AMD XP 2400+ frequency
Bus speed (MHz) = 266
Clock multiplier = 15

You can try turning on the over clocking, see the manual page 57. These setting would be normal for the AMD XP 2400+ CPU.
I'm looking at the max frequency for the Shuttle is topped out at
198MHz. As far as the IDE hard drive I'd like you to download the manufactures bootable floppy software & check the drive with this floppy disk. (Works in a dos like mode). No windows involved. The Mfg's software will test & repair the drive if needed & will also set the drive up, set cluster size, choose NTFS FAT or any other FAT you wish for windows XP. It's better than windows format. You'll fine there are other options you can turn on & off if you wish. (If you run the Mfg's software, disconnect any other hard disk drive by removing the data cable).
On a personal note, I always use the Mfg's bootable software to set up any drive be it IDE or SATA I, SATA II.
Shuttle site's.
