Have you tried the rinse cycle in every wash cycle selection on the dial. Some times after using one particular dial setting all the time the contacts on the switch get corroded or burnt out, if the rinse cycle works in other settings on the dial then this is most likely the problem. You can then look up on line and order a new switch for the unit usually takes about two weeks to get in and is fairly easy to replace.

The lid switch controls the rinse and spin cycles.
If the lid switch is bad the cycle fails to advance.
Replace your lid switch.

if it will just not fill try it on warm rinse if water comes in hot the water valve on the cold side could be plugge usualy repaired by removing the hose and screen and cleaning if the screen is clean you may need a new valve.

does it drain after the wash cycle? if it does, then I don't think it's the timer. It uses the same contact there as for the rinse cycle. Do you hear the motor running as if it's trying to drain? If the motor is running, perhaps the pump itself is no good? Just a couple things to check. Hope it helps.

This is a problem with the pump being stuck so the motor cant turn the whole thing. Turn the washer on its side, underneath you can acces the pump, which is connected to the motor by two long clips. remove the pump and take out the colg that caused it to get stuck.
