moisture and electrics dont agree with one another. Could try

isolating from the mains and spraying lightly with car windscreen

de-icer (isopropanol) wipe off any excess and leave in a warm spot for

a few days....Might work if you are lucky

Your LCD TV needs repair,abnormal display caused by a faulty LCD Control board. Replace the control Board.

It sounds lcd screen problem and lcd panel (screen) will be replaced. Please check with local tv repair shop or nearest Sony service center for lcd screen replacement.

Not repairable,because LCD screen is limited produce.The tvs compannies is the only place u can buy LCD screen,they sell LCD screen it to u same as a new tv.Even might cost more after part and labors.The LCD screen is 90% of the tv that why.Sorry ur tv now only worth for spare electonics boards parts that it.

Junk,not worth repairing,only good for electronics parts.Tv companies the only place can buy LCD Screen.The have limitted LCD in stock in production,don't sell them out cheap.

If the line is present in all inputs and modes, there is a problem with the LCD Panel. The only way to fix it is to replace the whole LCD Panel which is very expensive (usually around $1000+ for 40" Sony). Unless the TV in under warranty, it is usually around the same price for a new TV.

sounds like the lcd control board malfuntioned. call sony and im sure they will have you bring it to a repair shop at no charge
