Connect usb laptop - Canon PowerShot A75 Digital Camera

Hi,
In what way is it connected to you laptop?
From what I understand, you have to connect it through the mini-USB port to an USB port on your laptop. The other USB ports are for using it as an USB hub.

Canon ir-2016J not supporting for print. so it will not detect USB. USB can be used for only updating mechine system software.

The connection on the rear of the hub should go to a USB connection on the laptop, not a PS/2 connection. A PS/2 to USB adapter is used to connect a PS/2 keyboard or mouse to a USB connection.

Find a USB device, such as a memory-stick, that is "USB 2.0" and connect it to a USB port. If Windows XP pops-up a window ("this device will perform better when connected to a USB 2.0 port"), then you have connected it to a USB 1.1 port.

Yes, you can connect a scanner, if it has a USB connection. Not all laptops have a parallel-port ("old-style" printer) port, but some scanners require a parallel-port.

Try using external USB HUB (POWERED) Adapter. It might fix this issue.
Use an other USB cable and see.
If the problem still exist do not plug in the printer again, you may damage your USB port or even burn your laptop motherboard.

Before you connect your wireless mouse USB adapter to your laptop you'll need to install the software first, after the software is installed follow the steps to connect the wireless mouse USB adapter, this will keep the instalation wizard from popping up.

Im not aware of any gadgets, but you can always use the USB stick on one laptop, share the internet connection, and connect the other laptop throught the shared connection.

That would require your laptops to be networked, either by a crossed cat cable or with regular switching or routing.

did you connect directly to your laptop or you connected via external USB Hub?? Your notebook model should support USB 2.0 ...so it should not face the problem you post..unless you're not connecting it directly.
