Not all CD players can or will play CD's burned in a PC. Sometimes the CD player is to old, so not compatible with these CDs. Sometimes the player just does not play these CD's, because of rights protection.
A CD burned in a PC is less reflective than an normal music CD. Normal CD's do have a metal coating and are highly reflective. Burned CD's have a dye, and where the laser burned the dye, it only changed colour. Making it less reflective.
All modern CD playes should be capable of playing CD r's. But the player that is really compatible, is labelled CDr and CDrw compatible.

Thats alot of disc this ubit holds. 110+1!! The CD changer arm mechanism sounds like is out of timming or the gears have slipped there teeth, and or the cam is broken, or theres a couple of small microswitches that can get broken as well.. The only way to work on this unit and see what the problem is, is to get a service manual and go through the mechanical alighnment and see where the problem is. Unless you can do a physical examination and know where every lob and gear is suppose to be, I do not see any other ways.

You ever get a solution to this, mate?
I have the same freaki'n issue with mine all of a sudden. Suspect the power supply's not delivering enough power to rotate the spindle-motor anymore, cause if I take this motor out and connect it to a 1.5V battery, it runs...
let me know if you've found the solution please on: tobie dot steyn at gmail dot com.

Easy, turn off the power, remove the lid by unsrewing all the screws on the side, back and top of the lid. When removed you should see the CD jammed somewhere at the rear of the disk carrier. be very carefull and slowly remove it. The disk may be already scratched but if you're carefull you can stop further damage. Also don't force any part of the tray they are only plastic. If you can't get the disk out things start to get awkward. Write backmor take the unit with the lid off to a repair shop it shouldn't take them long to get it out.
