We need to replace this oven. What is the newest comparable model?

Use a tape measure to get the measure ments..use that information when shopping for a new one.

I would contact customer service and ask if they have "drop-in" replacement.
That was a Daewoo made for Amana / Maytag / Whirlpool.

How old is the oven ???, Is the food saturated with water ???, Is the exhaust clear from any obstacle ??? Do you feel air coming out the exhaust when it's running ??? (compared to when it's not) if it's a new model it is NORMAL, newer (expensive) models tend to keep moisture in the oven... they are built that way to prevent drying out food (on the plate rim) or (if it's fresh from the box) check for forgotten PACKING material that could prevent the oven from exhausting properly... you could also call the manufacturer/GE to check with them as well...

Sounds like it needs a new control board moduel fitted.

Cost for parts about $119 + Labour. Evaluate the money to be spent and compare it to replacing it with a second hand pre checked 30 day warranty unit. They are so cheap now.

I called GE and got a new model since the JVM 1860 is discontinued.

These first came out in 2002, so I doubt they're available anymore.

But you can call Sharp to see. If not, ask them what comparable model(s) replace them.
