My PC's Operating System is Windows XP. I can't install my printer software. Is there a way to install hp officejet v40 on this one? I'm terrible with computers. Please advise.

2. Define your operating system to install your HP Multifunction device. Note: Update Drivers in Win Vista

3. Browse Multifunction Drivers.

4. Find HP Multifunction Drivers.

5. Select HP Officejet 6210/6213/6215 All-in-One Basic Software/Driver 4.7.0 Windows 98/ME/2000/XP.

6. Download HP Officejet 6210/6213/6215 All-in-One Basic Software/Driver 4.7.0 Windows 98/ME/2000/XP. Note: you can update all Drivers automatically with RadarSync (Freeware) or DriverScanner (Shareware).

7. Install HP Officejet 6210/6213/6215 All-in-One Basic Software/Driver 4.7.0 Windows 98/ME/2000/XP.

8. Restart or reboot your computer to finish your driver installation. Note: you can backup your computer drivers before updating.

Reinstall the OS and renew the printers IP

software for HP Officejet 6210. please choose your correct operating system.

From what I can see Vista already has the drivers for this printer built in, so if you have installed the Windows XP drivers from CD you may need to remove them first and see how it goes with the standard Vista drivers.

Please note that some functions may not be available as this product is not completely Vista compatible.

I do not believe you can share the scanner across the LAN as the software does not support this.
Windows only supports the sharing of certain hardware such as printers but not scanners, even though that is attached to the printer but uses different drivers and software to work.

the drive cd of v40 printer is not installing software/driver. i want software/ driver of the said officejet printer.
