Oven is model 665.95781. I used the cleaning cycle.Oven door will not open. Message is E1 F5. Please help!

Based on your description, the E1 F5 error code likely indicates that the door latch is not operating.

Make sure that the oven door is closed when you start the Self Clean cycle. Check the door switch to see if it is apparently operating properly. Open the oven door and the oven light should turn on. Press in the door switch plunger and the light should turn off. If the light switch is not operating properly, it could cause this type of problem.

If the light switch is operating properly, then you could have a failed door latch assembly. A wiring failure or a problem with the control board could also cause this failure. I recommend that you unplug the range and access the door latch assembly at the back of the range. Pull the upper and lower back panels off of the range. Caution: The edges on these panels can be sharp. Protective gloves are recommended. With the panels off, check the wire harness connections on the door latch assembly.

Heating elements will not heat and getting an error code E1 F-5

Hello, the lock latch is located directly in the center upper portion of the door. It is a hook shaped latch that lock by turning downward. This lock gets stuck in this position which causes the e1 f5 error code. Locate the latch through the vent holes in the upper front of the oven door. Insert flat headed screw driver into vent hole and gently push latch up to a horizontal position & simply open door. Once unlocked, push cancel on the control panel. This will clear the error code and resolve the issue.

Thanks

My oven keeps beeping & it was flashing F5 but now nothing is on the screen & oven won"t turn off.

depending on the make of your oven, it could be a door latch failure, or a stuck touch pad button.
if the door latch it wont heat when you put the unit to bake.
if the touch pad button, then you wont be able to program the controls.

Oven has indicated F9. What does that mean?

An F-9 code on virtually all makes and models is related to a door latch circuit failure. While in bake, broil and off modes the board needs to see the latch unlocked. In the self clean cycle, the board needs to see the door latch in a locked position. The specific model will determine whether your range has a mechanical or motorized latch mechanism.
