How do I get a new remote control for PYE PY90VG

My existing remote does not work; want a replacement!

There are 2 problems. On the botton of the machine you should replace the rubber drive belts. And on the top of the machine under the cover there is an idler wheel with a rubber wheel on it. that shoul be replaced too. Caution If you are doing this yourself please have the power cord disconnected. If you do not have the parts. It would probably be cheaper to buy a new unit, depending on the model. Because if the belts are worn then it is time for a complete service.

I am having the same problem. Turn on the machine and it stays on for only 10 seconds and turns back off.

A funai manuel

Funai has the manual for the PYE PY90VG here: http://www.funai-corp.com/support/om/PY90VG.pdf . Funai manufactures electronics for a number of brands and has the manuals for many of them here: http://www.funai-corp.com/support/manuals.aspx . The manuals are listed in numerical and alphabetical model number. You need to go through a number of pages to get to the P model numbers. Leave off the brand if you use the search box.

Provided you know the part/model number of the original remote, and you're prepared to spend the extra few dollars to replace the original remote with an identical new one, assuming it is still available, then go ahead and order it. Otherwise try a universal remote which is cheaper.

Not all functions can be guaranteed with a universal remote but most of them should work. Universals are cheap enough to buy just about anywhere. Only consider this option if the original remote control is not possible to buy or no longer available.
