Does pin placement in 4 pin plug 3 wire stator matter for a 05 HD softail deluxe?

You should have a three pin plug for a three wire stator. What in fact do you have??? AND no, the pin placement does not matter in a three wire AC alternator system but the wires come assembled to pins in a plug so I do not know how you would have them changed anyway OR have four wires.

I dont know where power sw goes

It is normally onto a jumper labelled sw - You dont mention the motherboard type, or if you have the instructions. I would suggest looking very carefully on the printing on the board near a bank of upright pins for "sw". It does not matter which way round you put the switch connector.

If you still cant find it, google foe the instructions for your MB
