How to clean memory in dell 531s

If you think you're having a memory problem, you have these options:
1. Re-seat the memory chips and make sure they're in the socket correctly.
2. Go to www.Dell.com/support. They have diagnostics that will test Memory and all systems in your PC and show you what might be wrong.
3. You can run a memory Clean or defragmentation yourself. Go to Start, then Computer, then right click the C drive and select "Properties" then look for "Clean Memory" and/or "Tools" to do the "defrag".
Hope this helps.

I have also found that the memory occasionally is not recognized. To fix remove the ram and clean electrical contacts with a clean pencil eraser. (Rub the contacts to clean.) Then replace memory. (My machine failed to boot, cleaning the contacts fixed the problem.

My phone shows memory full close some applications, but i want to keep many applications open, and e50 is a multitask phone, how to solve this problem.

This message is usually shown on Symbian smartphones when the phone memory is too low or when there is a malware program in the phone memory. The only practical solution is to clean up the phone memory. The Nokia E50 has 70 MB of internal memory (phone memory). You should have enough free phone memory to run many applications. To clean up your phone memory please follow the instructions below.

1.Back up your contacts to the memory card or SIM directory.
2.Enter *#7370# on your phone.
3.Press YES when prompted to restore the settings to factory defaults.
4.Phone is restarted.
Note this this will clean up your phone memory only and all the data in the memory card will be safe.

Hope you are satisfied with my solution. Thanks for choosing Fixya.

Hello tlp7
Probably the slots need a good clean up . Use a soft cloth or a brush with methanol or similar to get them
spotless and clean the old memory pins the same way . Ensure your new memory card is compatible with your system .

I am using the camera for 2 monthes and now its says memory card error. i didnt changed the memory card SDHC what sould i do

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. Getting a card error means that:

* memory card is not yet formatted for camera use
* memory card requires cleaning
* using a incompatible memory card
* camera malfunction

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can do it by yourself. However if the error message still persist, you should contact your Canon service center.

Memory Card not formatted
You have to format the memory card. Some memory card can't be formatted using a PC's, or formatted by another digital camera. I suggest that you have to format the memory card using the camera itself.

Memory Card requires cleaning
Use a dry and soft cloth in cleaning the memory card and the memory acrd slot.
Using a clean pencil eraser can also be useful in cleaning the memory card but you have to be careful, slightly rub the eraser on the memory card.

Incompatible memory card
Please use a compatible memory card

Camera malfunction
In this case you have to contact you service center. It will be a big help if you can check if your camera is still under warranty to get a free service.

Please let me know if you have any questions and if this solution was helpful.

I received the "clean or

Welcome to FixYa.

I have seen several question with the same issues on your camera. There where 3 possible reasons why do you received an error "clean or format card". First reason is your card was not formatted for the camera used. You need to format it first for you to be able to used the memory card. Second reason is memory card slot or the memory card itself requires cleaning. Yu can used soft and dry cloth to cleaned it, sometimes pencil eraser or any eraser can be used to clean the memory card, but you have to be careful in using it on your memory card. After you clean it, you also need to format the memory card. Third possible reason is memory card might need to replace.

Notes: All existing data, including protected pictures, are erased when internalmemory or card is formatted. Make sure that you save or transfer important data to a computer before formatting the memory or card.
Make sure that there is no card inserted in the camera when formatting the Internal Memory.
be sure that the card is inserted when formatting the Memory card.

Make sure that you have a fully charged battery or used the AC adapter.

I hope this information can help you.

When I start my computer its only says bip bip bip

Hi,

Three beeps indicates that there is a memory error. Take the system memory from the motherboard and clean the brass contacts on the memory and also clean slots that the memory clips into. Make sure you clean all of the dust away from them.

Put the memory back into the slots and try turning the computer on. If you have more than one memory module put them back one by one turning the computer on after each try.
If it still won't switch on and you get the beeps you will be looking at new memory for the computer.

Regards.
