check for a missing wire to the battery as the voltage regulators are not controlling anything
if you have a 32 amp alternator and it is producing 48 amps , the voltage regulator is not controlling the out put of the stator so it will burn out from overload
voltage from the stator has to be 13.2 volts DC minimum and no more than 14.5 v DC at 2,000rpms
suggest that you get an accredited bike electrician to check out the circuits and system

Gage cluster issue, could be a bus ground issue too. These are not easy to fix and usually you send the cluster out to a third party shop to be checked and rebuilt.

Hello i have found with Fords this is a common PROBLEM and easy to fix. If this is the problem all you have to do is jack up car just enough to see the back side of the starter and the solenoid they used a push on style connector for the ignition to kick over the starter almost always this wire falls off. My grand parents have 2 of these cars with the 4.6 LT and i ended up soldering the connectors on because they fell off so much. Hope this helps

As the battery & regulator/rectifier have been replaced, the only other things to check are :-
Continuity from reg/rect red wire to battery & to earth, then check for continuity between each of the 3 yellow wires, all should be the same resistance - if not the stator coils in the alternator are faulty

What you are reading is the voltage coming from the trickle charger located in the generators control panel. Because these batterys are on a constant trickle charge they tend to evaporate the water out of them quicker.

We make it a habit to check the battery water level every 6 months and top off with distilled water when necessary. Because you are topping these batteries off more frequently the battery acid become diluted causing the battery not to last as long. So at least every 6 months I would also check the specific gravity of each cell in the battery as well as load testing it.
