With the power off, hold the camera in your palm and smack the front of the camera on your leg or arm. You might have to smack it a few time to get it to work. It has to do with the camera CDD lense (shuttle) being stuck. By smacking it around, it will free up the lense. Being extra gentle with it though. It worked for me. Hope this help.

Hey climiocid,
If what you mean is your images don't display on the LCD screen after you take the picture your image review option has most likely been turned off. If your camera just never displays any images I would try doing a hard reset on the camera by shutting off the camera and opening the connecter cover and pressing the reset button which should reset the camera to factory specifications. When resetting the camera this way remember this resets the cameras' clock. If none of this works I would have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. You can find an authorized service center by contacting the manufacturer, or you can always bring your camera to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store and they can send it out for service. I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Allan

SOURCE: my nikon d80 f number keep blinking. what should
The "fEE" error indicates that the camera is not communicating with the lens. The lens may not be attached to the camera properly, or if it has an aperture ring, it may not be set to f22 (or the highest aperture number of the lens) - which is normally marked in orange. Select this aperture and lock it using the aperture locking switch to prevent this from occuring again.

If it's under warranty, use the warranty. It takes my D40x about a half second to focus at most. I keep my camera in a dust proof case when not in use. I've had it for 2 years, it still works fine.

Is the card cheap? Is the card a class 2 or lower? Is the card full of pictures that you should have downloaded a long time ago? Are your batteries almost depleted? These are things that will slow down a camera.
