The Nikon N65 has a built-in film advance (power winder) so all you need to do is take a photo and it should advance. If no, the film isn't loaded properly or the drive is broken.

I just had this same problem, slightly panicked. But thanks to the internet the answer was fast and easy. :) Hold down the shutter button and then advance the film lever. also the film advance lever should be facing you, as if trying to poke you when you lean in. Then take a picture. Practice this with no film inserted. Worked for me. Hold down the snap button while turning the advance film lever.

I will offer a solution under the assumption, that you are not familiar with this camera. Please ensure the film is loaded correctly extending the film all the way across to the orange line located on the right side near the winding post. This ensures the film is positioned correctly and will feed onto the post. Also the film advancer may need to activated by releasing the shutter. Hope it helps. Good Luck!
