The tire measurements for the 1.6 and 1.8 litres are:
195/60VR 14
195/55VR 15

try putting one wheel of what you want to do on a hub to see if it fits
check for stud pattern and that the studs fit in the center of each hole
next measure the distance from the rim edge ( use a straight edge across the diameter and measure from that edge to the stud holes are ( measuring rim off set)
if both wheels measure the same then they should fit
go to a tire dealer and get the details of each rim to see if it can be done
the major items to be aware of are the stud pattern is the same pitch circle diameter ( bolts in the same circle ) and the center off set of the rim

Use a compass to draw a circle the size you want your star to be.
Draw a second, smaller circle inside the first, using the same center point. Make the second circle about half the size of the first.
Draw a line from the edge of the outer circle to the center point using a ruler.
Place a protractor on the line, with the center hole of the protractor over the center point of the circle.
Measure and mark every 72 degrees around the circle (72, 144, 216, 288 and 360 degrees), dividing the circle into five even sections.
Line the ruler up with the center point of the circle and one of the marks you just made.
Draw a line from the edge of the outer circle, through the center point, ending at the edge of the inner circle.
Continue drawing lines as described until you have drawn the five lines, which evenly divide the circle.
Connect the top of one of the lines that touches the outer circle to the lines that touch the inner circle on both sides, forming a point.
Continue to connect the lines around the circle until you have made a five-point star.

• Make the inner circle larger for a fatter star or smaller for a thinner star.
• Draw your star on poster board and cut it out to use as a pattern for drawing more.
• To make a six-point star, measure and mark every 60 degrees (60, 120, 180, 240, 300, and 360 degrees), dividing the circle into six even sections.
• To make an eight-point star, measure and mark every 45 degrees (45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, 315, and 360 degrees), dividing the circle into eight even sections.

• Quick and easy may want to do this a few times before the final perfect one. This actually made me think. Haven't done geometry in a very long time.

take one off, measure it. bingo.

(usa) 0.236" is 6mm

outside USA, 6mm measures, 6mm (bliss)

next is length ( 12mm or 15, or , measure it.)

and last is pitch. (not like USA TPS at all )

i have a $1 pitch gauge, sold, well ,everywhere .

or got to ACE hardware (usa)and use their gauge.

or test your screw against there marked nuts. (simple)

If you have Code 15, you need a volt meter or you will run into a wall. You measure the coolant resistor ohms when its cold then measure it when the engine is warm.You also have to measure one side for a 5 volt reference.Or better yet when the vehicle reaches operating temperature and begins to stall take the leads of the coolant temperature and jump it together.This tell the ECM your temperature is 266F. If its stays running and doest stall replace temp sensor

The most common reason for this problem is that you haven't got a proper tie rod adjustment. The tie rods need to be adjusted so that you have the same distance. You can use a standard tape measure and with the car on a flat level surface with the tires straight, have a friend help you measure from the one wheel to the other. You need to measure from the front of the tire using the same reference points on both tires ( like the farthest outside tread groove.) once you have the measurement on the front of the tires then move to the back side of the tires and measure again, using the same reference points, the outside tread groove. The measurements should be within 3/ 16 of an inch and should be slightly shorter in the front. For example if you measured the front @ 4' 41/2" then the back of the tire should be from 4' 4 1/2" to 4' 11/16". The front wheels will be slightly toed in of pointing at each other but no more then 3/ 16 of an inch. If you measurement are off then you will need to adjust the tie rods to get a even measurement. Also you may find that your steering wheel is off center if you don't have them adjusted correctly.
I would really recommend that you just take this and have an alignment done, they are relatively inexpensive considering you have replaced the tie rods and this will make for easy adjustment.

Yes , tire sizes can be changed without any problem , as long as you don't go too different. Here is how a tire is measured........
195 is the width of the tire 19.5 centimeters , 55 is a measurement of the amount of rubber outside the metal rim , in your case it is 55% of the width ( 195 ) the r15 is the rim size 15 inch.
You could go to a slightly wider tire with a lower profile , like a 205/50/15 or a slightly narower tire with more profile like a 185/60/15.
The important thing is to try to stay close to the same overall hight . if your old tires are 25" in diameter , try to stay close to that , or you will throw your speedometer out of true.
