Good Afternoon Patti,

I understand that your Hotpoint stove digital timer/clock is beeping and you are wondering how to disconnect it. I suggest resetting your stove by either unplugging it or disconnecting the power at your home's circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. When power is restored, if your stove is still beeping, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine what the cause of the beeping is. They will also be able to assist with repairs, if needed. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

The clock/timer panel on my McClary stove is suddenly pixelated and cannot be set. The timer pings endlessly. How can I disconnect it or fix it?

Hi David,
I am not familiar with this kind of stove, but most of the clocks work the same.

NB, before doing this, unplug the stove.

There is one wire that feeds the clock/timer (this wire is often red). And there is a 0-wire (this one is often blue)
When disconnecting that (red) phase wire, the clock will not run anymore, but neither does the oven.
On the clock must be 1 more wire and that goes to the oven. May be this wire is brown.
Just make a connection with the (red) phase wire and the (brown) wire that goes to the oven.
Then the oven will work again but the clock is out of order.

I hope this helps, Kind regards, Dik

Hello,

The beeping indicates to me that the clock has power to it and it's the problem and needs to be replaced. ya need model number to order part it usually can be found on rim around door or inside of the bottom storage drawer, when ordering parts its call by 4 names, all are the same part its either clock, eoc, oven control,or relay board

Hello there schematics for your unit will be next to impossible to find on the internet. My guess is that your unit uses a manual type timer as units that old usually have the timer independent of the other functions of the unit.therefore you wont be able to find any wires which power the unit. Mostly the timer will run on its own as a result of sensors on the unit. Both options which you have considered are gud but lubricating the bearings seems more likely although getting at it might be a bit difficult what you need is a watch expert usually they have methods of loosing out the entire clock mechanism taking it for servicing and fixing it back on your unit this way the bearing noise will stop. Also if you decide to take of the clock completely the same procedure applies.
Hope this solution has been helpful?
