I have a 32" TV/DVD combo westinghouse LCD TV. When I turn the TV on I get no picture. There is sound. DVD player does not show picture either, I have sound but no picture.

Do you have a cable provider that gives you TV service ? Or do you use a regular ("rabbit ears") antenna ?

First thing I would check is that you are playing regular DVDS and not BluRay. Your TV may be old enough not to accept BluRay. If it doesn't work with a regular DVD then you most likely have a bad reader which can be replaced but you will have to take the tv apart to get to it.

you possibly have bad inverter board

check for any dry joints or open circuits and solder properly

A review... Seems OK the MOST important this is LENGTH OF WARRANTY... simple, it MUST be at least 2 years better to have 5.

Hello, there can be a few things wrong, it sounds like you might have a defective set as the inverter that powers up the backlight on this unit is on the same board as the power board, this normally will cause symptoms of powering up but not displaying a picture. If you are looking for parts you can find them at [email protected] but it sounds like you just purchased the unit so I would call their customer service line at 1800-701-0680.

Take it in to a service center for an Estimate. Parts are very difficult for Westinghouse sets.

funny how **** happens....mine turns on and says memorex then stays on with no picture or sound.

Use the A/V outs to the composite cable and connect to your Westinghouse A/V jacks.

On the Insignia player, press the Source button until you see A/V OUT on the insignia players screen.

Set your Westinghouse to the A/V input port you have connected the Insignia player to and VIOLA...you should have picture and sound.
