What could be the problem when a Micro wave runs but does not heat?

If it is that new, then contact Oster for replacement or repair under warranty Do this before the warranty runs out though

The micro door switch is bad if you can not find one for your oven try one for a microwave oven it will worl

Unplug the unit for at least 30 seconds. Plug in, set clock. When making pizza punch in the time you wish it to run, such as "7:30" then "start". Watch carefully the first time to see how much time it takes to cook to your liking.

My oven will not work, it turns on then turns heat off but not the timer, can anyone tell me what to do?

Not worth repair unless you do it yourself. The replacement model oven for this is available at Wal-Mart for $69 and has the exact same design flaws as this model - inaccurate thermo, part on door mechanism that wears out, and short life motors. I still repaired mine as the oven is so large and the new ones have the same problems and 1.5" less height. Unless you are really into repairing electrical devices, I wouldn't attempt it as HB made this a tough repair. They will tell you the unit is not repairable and they built it with that in mind.

I would say that it sounds like the bottom element isn't working. I am assuming that you can tell that the fan for the convection feature is running. You should be able to see through the glass door to see if the element is heating up.

Toaster ovens use electrical elements that get hot from electricty running through them
They do not use microwaves

it is several prosibilites for your problem:
1) the wire of the oven is damaged;
2) the thermostat is decalibrated or damaged;
3) one or more heating element is intrerupted or burned.
solution's:
1) check the wire an replace or repair where is posible whit similar heat resistant wire;
2) replace the thermostat whit similar one;
3) replace the heating element

Definitely return it. It has a partial internal short which is appying full power to only part of the heating element causing th excessive heat. No properly working appliance should make the outlet hot.

I have the same oven plus another one. Does this model have a "ding" when the timer is finished. My other one does. I bought them both used. Love em for their size. I use them out in the garage during the summer. Keeps the heat out there
