Everytime i turn my nokia 1100 cellphone on, an automatic error message's prompted...asking me to insert a sim.any help please?my cellphone was been soaked in a pale full of water...

Your phone has hung up because there are errors in the software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus- it is possible when they are downloaded from unsafe sites. If so remove or format the card. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone hangs up then it is confirmed that the software is corrupt and will need a reinstallation. Seeking help from the authorized service /support centre is most ideal. Take estimate and decide.

all you have to do is clean out the phone insert the sim in correct way, if this does not work then get a new sim or excahnge the phone for a new one

May be its detecting your sim card properly. Check your sim card in another handset. Verify if its the propbelm with sim card not your handset.

your mainboard is having a problem reading your simcard.....you will need to take the phone to a mobile service center and have them either replaced or reflash the phone to correct the issue.....hopefully it is still under warranty and the fault was not cause by you the customer.

its either a loose sim tray or a problem with the Sim IC ...... use some packing over the sim card and see whether it works properly other wise you will have to get the sim IC changed

provide your IMEI # here and the code will be sent to you

If the phone is locked to a network it wont take another networks SIM.

If you want to use the phone with a differnt network/service provider you need to get it unlocked.

If not maybe the SIM is scratched or broken?

If your phone is prompting you for a security code and you have not activated one, please try the following: Enter the default security code: 12345. Only try this once(if you try too many times it wil mess up the situation). If your phone still requests a security code, please take it to the nearest Nokia service center for inspection.
