I have this model wall oven also. I have had 2 appliance rpair companies try to fix it. It has never been fixed right. You should trow that oven away and buy a GE. Its the easiest most pain free way.

My top oven is displaying some kind of error message. First it was F3, now it is F2. a loud ding noise comes with it. Help!!!

I get this, and F7 sometimes, especially after self-cleaning. Was told by a repairman to turn off the power, the breaker in electrical box and leave off. I usually leave off for anywhere from 5 hours to the next morning and then flip the breaker back on. Then it is fine. Happened to me 4 days before Thanksgiving too!

F7 shows on display and display getting dimmer over months

Dim display is TOTALLY independent of F7 error.
The display will dim as the display board capacitors wear out - due to the heat. Replace the capacitors on the display board (see my other posts) and your be able to see the F7 error code as bright as can be!

Error code F7 keeps coming up, what does this mean?

F1 error and beeping. Don't bother getting GE out there. Cost me $90 to learn they don't make the clock. WOuld have been $500+ for the control panel anyway. Better off just buying a new one. Planned obsolescence I guess. I won't buy GE again.

GE JT912-30 single wall oven "help" with F7 - F0 error

I have a double oven GE Profile. The error message FO appeared. I shut off the circuit breaker for 30 minutes or more and the oven works but without warning FO reappears. FO message means there is short in the clear Off touch button. The only solution replace the complete panel. My cost delivered $328. Ouch!

Dim LCD's on DCS Double Wall Oven

Had the same problem last week - called DCS (which automatically transferred me to Fischer-Paykel) and was able to order the part from them.  They knew exactly what it was, and shipped to me in CA from CA, it was less than $90.  Just installed it, and the new one works swell.  One suggestion - I drew with a Sharpie on one side of each of the three parts that plug into the board to help align the new one, and to install the wide ribbon cable (not really a cable, but you'll know what I mean), pull up on the two side pieces and the ribbon pulls right out.  Keep it up and slide the new one in and then push the black piece down.  That was the only part that took me a minute to figure out.

F7 alarm

F7 stands for a faulty touch pad, faulty clock or both. Usually it's the touch pad. Most manufacturers recommend replacing both of the components. First, because they make more money that way, and second, it's the easiest (although more expensive) way to fix this problem. If you'd rather try and save some $$$, you can perform the following test and hopefully identify which of the two components needs to be replaced. The test... Disconnect the power to the oven before performing any repairs. Something triggers the clock to display F7 error code. You can unplug the touch pad from the clock and see if F7 comes back on. If it does, the clock is bad. If it does not, the touch pad is bad. Hope this helps, APP tech http://www.AppliancePartsPros.com
