AM/FM Stereo Hookup problems

We have a 32" ilo. We have attempted to hookup the TV up to have the sound coming through our surround sound stereo system. We are able to get our ilo TV and DVD player to work together to have the sound come through the surround sound system. However we are not able to get the TV sound to come through the stereo system. We have tried all of the manual' suggested Digital Audio Connections. We have run cables through the coaxial, through the traditional red/white/yellow connectors, etc. NOTHING works! We have used regular & more expensive cables. The audio connections on the back of the TV seem to not be working? We also hooked our old tv back to the stereo to double-check the connections on the back of the stereo. It worked just fine. What are we doing wrong?

Make sure your audio outputs are turned on.Also try a connection from the tv straight to the stereo to see if you have sound !! If so then the problem is somewhere in between!! Check the settings for audio on these devices as well !! Good Luck !!1 Swampratt200 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Who to hook up a stereo with surround

First and for most question...
Does your tv have 5.1 or better connections ?
If not then you may want to go with the below
suggestions. Personally, I run mine..Not Vizio
Through my stereo receiver.

Do you have a 5.1 receiver ?
If you do run it through that or a 7.1 etc.

As for running it through just your tv...
If it does not have 5.1 and hookups...then sorry
you may not be able to.

kinda like a pc..if it comes with 2 channel stereo.
Then that is all you'll get...but if you add a 5.1 sound
card. You'll be able to connect the extra's to get it.

Could be worng but best bet is to run
it through a stereo receiver.

good luck

Sound through stereo

that is very easy, just get an RCA cable, the one with red/white and if your tv has audio output connect the RCA cable to it and the other end to AUX into your stereo, change your input selector on the stereo to AUX every time you want to litsen through stereo speakers.
good luck

How to hookup an IPOD to a pioneer avh-p6500 car stereo

If your car stero has a stereo audio input connector then you can plug a cable in the headphone on the IPod and the other end of the cable into the stereo audio input on the car stereo.
If you don't have an stereo input on the car stereo then you can buy a FM transmitter that is powered by the car's cigarette socket, connect the IPod to the transmitter, switch on the car radio and tune it to the FM station that matches the FM transmitter.
You can now listen to your IPod from the car radio.

Connecting Logitech X-530 speakers to TV flatscreen.

It really depends on what the Tv is capable of, and how you want to strategize the connection, but yes, it can be done.

According to the X-530 User Manual , the speaker system comes with an included video game adapter, for hookup with a console. if your LCD TV has stereo RCA output jacks, you could hook up your speakers to it in that fashion. If not, you may have to buy an adapter that converts whatever you have to RCA.

Another way you could attempt to connect it, is to buy a stereo RCA-to-3.5mm (g9) adapter, and connect to your computer's line in (if it's stereo). Your computer would be doing all the speaker sound positioning, and would have to be left on while you're watching TV, but that would work, as well.

If your TV is connected to a Comcast cable box that has a volume control on it with its on screen volume at the top of the picture. Turn it up until the word "stereo" appears and then only use the TV's volume control. This should fix the problem and allow you to enjoy stereo audio.
