Sorry about my last post. I didn't realize that it would be placed unter solutions. BUT I did get a resolution from Samsung. They passed me to the advanced team and they suggested I use a special code they gave me to reset all the machine. As I said before the machine was giving me an error that all the toners and the imaging unit were invalid. Samsung said to try this and if it didn't work they would send me a new (refurb) unit. They said to press in sequence <menu><#><1><9><3><start (b&w)> then when the unit cycles it will ask to imput the country, in my case I entered the US. The machine will then reset itself and all the cartridges and imaging unit should be reset to work. IT WORKED!! The machine said to wait while it re-installs the toners. When it did the red warning light turned off and the printer is working great. Hope this helps.

No, what actually happens is the drum fills up with waste toner and you cannot empty it.

Hi,

it is more likly that your OPC Image unit has print more than 25K +/-. that the printer will course the prompt.

press and hold the button of the printer for 5sec and let go. it will print out the supplier info of the printer life spend.

there is no way to reset the OPC count unless you work in Samsung.

You will have to purchase an new imaging drum. It is the shiny green metallic cylinder in the bottom back of the printer. It is the last piece to come out when you remove the toner waste unit and then all the toners. It sits on the very bottom/back of the toner bay. They are not cheap but do not need to be replaced very often and it will give like new printing after.

Removing a error message on a samsung CLX MFDevice

Causes :

  • The remaining life of the imaging unit is less than 10% of its life.
  • The remaining life of the imaging unit is less than 0% of its life.

solution:


  • Replace the Imaging unit (Toner). remove the old toner and replace it with a new one, look in the user manual for detailed steps.

Can not find the imaging unit for samsung CLX 3170. Do not know how to fix it. Printer says to to replace it soon.

I could not find information specific to your model on the proper relacements for the imaging unit and toner cartridges; however, I was able to find a statement that the CLX-3170FN and CLX-3175FN are the same printer the main difference is just the colour of the unit. They should therefore use the same imaging unit and toner cartridges which I have listed below:

CLT-M409S Magenta
CLT-C409S Cyan
CLT-K409S Black
CLT-R409 Imaging Unit
CLT-W409 Waste Toner Collector
CLT-Y409S Yellow

Samsung CLX-3175FN printer said "replace imaging unit" so I did. Tragically, it still says "replace imaging unit" and taking the unit out and putting it back in has had no effect. I don't know what to do...

I have a samsung clx-3175 printer telling me to replace the imaging unit I'v done that but it still tels me to replace it ,is there a way to reset it or what solutions do you have?

Log into the service menu Samsung CLX-3175 without a numeric keypad similar to the unit Samsung SCX-4623F/FN:
Consistent set of combinations of "MENU" - "COPY ID" - "LEFT" - "RIGHT" - "MENU" - "BACK"
The unit switches to English, if you installed any other.
In the menu appears TECH MODE.
To enter the reset require a password
1934. The numbers by pressing "LEFT" - "RIGHT",
After each number press the "OK"

How do i fix a transfer belt error on my samsung 3160? where is the transfer belt?

take out the imaging unit(imaging unit is where the toners are put and a green OPC is there).
First open the front cover.
then pull the imaging unit.
after that there will be a delicate transfer belt.

My samsung clx-3160 colour laser printer does not print very well.all prints are barely neglible and now most times no print or characters appear.I have installed new ink cartridges.Please advise.

If the problem is only with Black output you need to change the Black developer of the Imaging Unit, Else you need to refer to the Authorised Service center. Else you may change the complete imaging unit by yourself.

Kindly take out the imaging unit out of the printer and take out and put it properly.

If this did not fix you may try using the imaging unit from other printer.
If this did not solve then visit a service center or buy its Imaging unit.
