Question about Sony VPL-EX1 Multimedia Projector
So one day my projector just turned off. i had no indication that my lamp life is running low. the lamp/cover light was blinking. i got myself two new LMP-C150. i've installed the first one. turned my projector on, it stayed on for a around 20 seconds then turned off again. the lamp didn't turn on at all and now the LAMP/COVER light stays lit after the projector shuts down. i've tried to reset the lamp hours using my RM-PJ2 remote but i've had no luck. i've tried the 2nd new lamp on and experienced the same symptoms. can anyone help please?

with both lights solid. according to the manual all it says is (there is an electrical failure inside the unit, please take to an authorized servicer). if you are able to do this yourself you will need the schematics and a voltmeter to start testing your voltages. your lamp is fine so dont waste your money replacing that anymore. if you would like the service manual send me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

The bulb is not lighting correctly.

Take out the bulb and check the connectors are not dirty and reinsert.
See if you can see the bulb looks ok, you may be unlucky that the bulb has prematurely failed (hope not)
Try again to start it.
