I have this problem too
but when I get to safe mode
it won't do anything
I select safe mode, power button, nothing
I select factory reset, nothing

In safe mode, go to settings> apps, look around for any unfamiliar app. It's usually called Badoink or hidden as Adobe flash player. Click on the app and click uninstall. If it's not letting you use the uninstall option, go into security> device administrator and click on whichever to deactivate it then go back to your apps and it should allow you to uninstall it
Try pressing and holding the power button to see if you get access to power-on/power-off options, or immediately pressing and holding the power-off button when you turn it on. You are looking for the option to start up in Safe Mode. If you can get into Safe Mode, then you should be able to delete the offending game.

I'm afraid you can't access wireless Internet while in safe mode. Try pressing Alt and F10 when turning on your computer and choosing safe mode with networking instead of safe mode.

I got this recently on my Samsung Galaxy. Following my experience with PCs, which need to be rebooted to return to normal mode, I completely powered down the Galaxy. When it rebooted it was in normal mode.

There are a number of ways you can exit safe mode. Depends on what works for you. Sometimes powering off the phone wouldn't work - it depends on why your phone has activated in the first place.
