Whirlpool dryer won't dry

if your dryer does not seem to be drying the wet clothes, first check that it is generating heat. If not, check the vent to make sure it is clear.
If the dryer runs but fails to heat clothing, check the circuit breaker. Most dryers use so much electricity that their functions are divided between two breakers. If one has been tripped, that may be why the heating elements aren't functioning. If the dryer still isn't heating, unplug it and pull it away from the wall. There's a service access panel on the back that should be pried free. Inside, you'll find a small black strip of plastic with two blue wires attached. This is the heating fuse. A replacement part can be had for around $15, and takes a little less than 1 minute to swap out. It's unlikely that the heating element itself, which consists of a few metal coils, is broken. If the dryer still won't heat, you're better off getting a replacement dryer than repairing the old one

clean out lint filter check the vent hose make sure you are getting a air flow out your vent hose if not its blocked inside no air no dry it need air to dry cloths heat only will not dry plenty of air heat quicker drying

Inside the door under the filter housing is 2 strips that sense wetness. If they have dryer sheet goop on them they won't sense moisture. the dryer will therefore thank them clothes is dry. Clean them sensors with windex and party on!

2 things are needed to dry clothes. 1 is good air flow. Check to make sure that the dryer vent is not clogged or partially clogged with lint. Also make sure there are no kinks in the vent hose. With the dryer running you should feel good air flow blowing out of the outside house vent. The 2nd thing a dryer needs heat. Check to see that the dryer feels warm to hot when you reach in to tough the clothes. It is possible that the heat element has partially failed. Another thing to investigate is how well the laundry machine is spinning out the water in the spin cycle. This spin cycle is used to get as much water out as possible prior to placing the clothes in the dryer. The wetter the clothes when they come out of the laundry, the longer it takes to dry them.

The clothes then are too wet for the heat to evaporate. Spin extra time to get rid of as much water as possible before putting them in dryer.

i would start by checking the thermal fuse and then the heating element itself.

Is the dryer elec. it may be the heating element,try running bleach through washer no clothes to sanitize washer,this may help

I am having the same problem on a WD9900A. The wash cycle works great. Spins fast and clothes are completely rung out. Dryer cycle heats up well. Fluffs and heats cloths. At some point during dry cycle water is injected on clothes and they end up sopping wet; much wetter than after wash. Filter is clear. Outlet pipe clear and functions well. Possible problem with dryer timer? Or washer timing kicking back on?

REMOVE THE BACK PANEL AND THERE YOU'LL HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR HEAT ELEMENT CHECK IT FOR A BROKEN COIL AND ALSO CHECK YOUR THERMAL FUSE.
