Installation for my sansa e260 4gb on to my computer

When I plug in my Sansa pmp to my computer, it is not being recognized?

You require the Sansa Media Converter to allow you download the pictures.
This should have come with your player in the form of a disk. Check the disk if you got it.
I think you could contact www.sandisk.com and they could send you this or let you know where you could link to download the software.

i have lost my disk can some one tell me a another way to install it

hi. i also have the same problem. i cant install may mp3, my computer cant recognize my mp3 player. i tried installing the disk but it wont install because im using vista. i tried searching over the net for installer but cant find one. please help me please. thanks

Go to settings on your sansa and scroll down to USB Mode.
Change it to MSC.

Actually, the disk that comes with the sansa e260 is really only for putting videos on it. The player will add any music put on regularly. The disk is a software that converts certain file types into others so the player can play them. Music is mostly .mp3 files if you get them from cds( in my experience) so you should hve no problem. Ok.if you have the Disc come with the sansa.You need to install the disc,install the CONVERT (something) like that then you can put video or pics into your sansa.
