Right-click on the desktop and choose properties. The resolution will be on that page.

SOURCE: my emachine t3624 can't get the 1920 x 1080

Your monitor is capable of that resolution, but your video card may not have enough memory or speed to provide a resolution of 1920 x 1080 x 32 bits of color @ 60 Hz (assuming that you are using the video output from your emachine's motherboard)

Your best bet is to buy a cheap video card that can give you that resolution.

How to change your Windows 7 display settings

In Windows 7 there are serveral ways to get to your display settings. I have detailed them below in options so that you can access them as needed.

Option 1

Right click on your desktop and select "Screen Resolution"

Option 2

1. Right click on your desktop and select "Personalize"

2. Next click on "Display"

3. Click on "Adjust resolution"

198b5a3.png
Option 3

1. Click the Start button and click Control Panel

2. Next click on "Display"

3. Click on "Adjust resolution"
Once you are in the Screen Resolution you can set the resolution you want.

Note the resolution that is set now is a wide screen resolution. If you have a standard monitor the equivalent resolution would be 1280 x 1024.

After you have made the needed changes click on Apply then OK to save your changes.

Note if you are still have trouble with your monitor displaying right you may need to install the monitor drives. Windows is not going to have the actual drivers for all monitors. So in picture below you will see where is shows "Generic PnP Monitor" this means that the computer is using a generic driver. You can access this screen by clicking on "Advance Setting".

If you need to install the monitor drivers the link below will take you through the steps of installing the monitor drivers.

Dual Monitors. #1 works fine. Plug inb #2 and #1 goes to sceeen saver and #2 stays blank.

Both monitors must be plugged in when the computer is started for the second monitor to be detected, and you must configure the second monitor once the computer has started
In windows XP: control panel -> display -> settings tab -> select second display -> check "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" -> click apply
In windows vista/7: control panel -> adjust screen resolution -> select second display and then under "multiple displays" select "Extend desktop to this display"

The display is not fit on the monitor help me how to fix it thanks!!! [email protected]

You need to set your PC video resolution to the native resolution of this monitor, which is 1440x900 @60Hz. Mkae sure to to have correct video card driver installed and may also need the driver for this monitor if the native resolution is not listed.

Message input not suported

Your PC video resolution is set too high for the monitor to display. You should set it to the native resolution of this monitor, 1920 × 1080 @60Hz.

I cannot find ideal settings are for my Acer X193W Monitor

The ideal settings for your Acer X193W LCD monitor will depend on your personal preferences and the specific tasks you are using the monitor for. However, there are some general guidelines you can follow to ensure that the monitor is set up and configured optimally.
Here are some recommendations for setting up your Acer X193W LCD monitor:
  1. Adjust the position and orientation of the monitor to ensure that it is comfortable and easy to view. You may need to adjust the height and angle of the monitor, as well as the distance between your eyes and the screen, to find the most comfortable and ergonomic viewing position.
  2. Set the resolution of the monitor to the highest supported resolution. This will provide the sharpest and most detailed image, and will ensure that the monitor is able to display high-resolution graphics and text clearly.
  3. Adjust the brightness and contrast settings to a comfortable level. The ideal brightness and contrast settings will depend on the ambient lighting in your workspace, as well as your personal preferences.
  4. Configure the color settings to match the color gamut of your primary display. This will ensure that the colors on the Acer X193W LCD monitor are consistent with the colors on your primary display, and will prevent any color shifting or mismatching between the two displays.
  5. Enable any additional display features or settings that may be available on the Acer X193W LCD monitor, such as advanced color settings, color temperature controls, or dynamic contrast controls. These settings can help improve the overall image quality and viewing experience on the monitor.
Overall, the ideal settings for your Acer X193W LCD monitor will depend on your personal preferences and the specific tasks you are using the monitor for. Experiment with different settings and configurations to find the settings that work best for you.

Trying to run monitor from my lap top and goes in to autoconfig and I see my desktop, when autoconfig is complete, I get blank screen.

In general more info is required, but most likely this is an issue with your display settings. Try the following:

1) Try pressing the Fn and Display buttons (at the same time) on your laptop. Try it once, twice, and then a 3rd time.

Chances are that your laptop is displaying in a resolution that is not completely compatible with your monitor, so when the display settings are switched from laptop LCD and montor, to monitor only, the resolution should adjust automatically.

2) If that doesn't help you, try lowering or adjusting the resolution on your laptop. If in XP, right-click on the desktop and go to Properties, and select the tab for display settings and adjust it. If in Vista/7, right-click the desktop and select Screen Resolution/Display Settings and adjust it there.

Good luck. Let us know what happens!

Screen monitor images on the righ side is not showig.

Hi afcarrillo,

This could be a simple resolution problem. By that I mean that the resolution is set too low, therefore putting things off screen. Here's how you change the resolution:

Windows XP

Right click the Desktop and select Properties. Click the tab all the way on the right that says settings, and drag the slider to your native resolution of 1600x900

Windows Vista

Click Start, Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization, Personalization, Display Settings and drag the slider to 1600x900

Windows 7

Simply right click the desktop, select Screen resolution and pick 1600x900

If you do not have a resolution problem, then it's most likely the monitor itself. Most often times you can fix it one of two ways:

1. Some monitors have a button that says "Auto" which will auto adjust your monitor. If you have one, try it.

2. If that didn't work or you don't have one, go through the monitor's OSD (on screen display) and work through the settings so that you can manually adjust it and set it to your taste.

Hope this helps :)
