You don't really need to configure it as such.

The printer should recognise the duplexer if it is fitted correctly, and it's difficult NOT TO.

Printing a settings page will show the duplexer under Printer Options.

You printer driver needs to be aware of the duplexer, there is an option to 'get information from printer' within the Windows driver.

Once the driver knows the duplexer is available, you'll have an option in the printer driver to print double sided.

SOURCE: I have a dell 3110 CN i need step by step

Strange, It should have came with step by step instructions. Where did you buy this from? They should have provided you with this information.

Regardless, here is a link to the manual which has step by step to replacing everything in printer:

Hope this helps

My Dell 3110 driver won't give me the option to print double sided documents

Assuming your printer DOES HAVE a duplexer fitted, you need to use the option in the printer driver to 'get information from printer' - this will update the available options as far as the driver is concerned.

How can reset all setting dell 3115 cn

"Here is what I did to reset the Dell 3115cn Laser Printer. In the users manual for the 3115cn in section 6 "Changing System Settings" "Resetting Defaults" refers to page 64 where it says, " For more information, see "Reset Defaults" in the User's Guide. Only I did not get a User Guide with my Dell. So I Googled "3115cn user guide" and downloaded it to my desktop and then went to Resetting Defaults. In the attachment "Initializing NVRAM for Network Settings" is what I did. Hope this helps someone else."

I GET MESSAGE"sid POOL EXHUST" when i try add any object TO AD

You have to seize the RID master for you domain, appears to be removed from network or can't be contacted, you can use the next commands in order to get the actual (MYSERVER should be replaced by the name of you server

C:\WINDOWS>ntdsutil
roles
connections
connect to server MYSERVER
q
Select operation target

then you get the next response:

Server "MYSERVER" knows about 5 roles
Schema - CN=NTDS Settings,CN=MYSERVER,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=MYDOMAIN,DC=net
Domain - CN=NTDS Settings,CN=MYSERVER,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=MYDOMAIN,DC=net
PDC - CN=NTDS Settings,CN=MYSERVER,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=MYDOMAIN,DC=net
RID - CN=NTDS Settings,CN=MYSERVER,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=MYDOMAIN,DC=net
Infrastructure - CN=NTDS Settings,CN=MYSERVER,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=MYDOMAIN,DC=net
select operation target:

the interested server is RID - this must be the name of a actual server, if this server is permanently down the you need seize the rol, use the next guide:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc784077%28WS.10%29.aspx

if the server is an actual server you must review the event log in this server in order to get more clues of the error.

Dell color laser duplex 3115 cn will not print on both sides of paper.

Mascmen7,

although I would still like you to let me know the service tag ( so I can check on your warranty ), I am going to take a stab at what I think you are having a problem with.

I have had several customers that have had difficulty with their Dell printers when in fact there was no hardware defect at all, but simply that the options were not set in their Driver.

One customer couldnt print from tray 2 because tray 2 was not "installed" in the driver.

See the image below. If you go to control panel and then printers and faxes, right click on your printer and then select properties. ( see image )

f0dbc86.jpg
the last tab ( and i know it isn't easy to see here ) is marked as options.

Click there, and then make sure that the duplexer is either "available" as shown in the above driver properties window, or on some Dell printers, it actually shows a list on the left and the available options on the right. If this is the case for you, simply highlight the duplexer and "add" to move it to the columb on the right.

You would think that just installing the print driver would also insure the printer was added as configured, but sometimes it does not.

Let me know how you make out.
