I have this problem on SE g900. it automatically turn off or restart... and when i turn it on, the screen turns dark.. it happens all the time..and this fon **** BIGTIME! maybe its the hardware/software problems...
hope sony ericsson can fix this...........

reboot can mean it that some program freezes and only chance is rebooting. i can´t help you with the wallpaper, but you can try to reset your phone (factory reset) - it could help.
