Buy some new fuel line then put the line in from the motor side into the tank and feed up and through the opening on the tank. Then you can put on a new filter with a tiny clamp then put it back into the tank making sure the filter is resting on the bottom.
if it is an older one, the gas lines like to rot away. you can usually tell by looking down inside the gas tank. you can also check to see if the primer is moving the fuel through the lines as you prime it
My Bolens Weedeater runs for 3 or 4 seconds and stop but it will run only if I drop some gas in the caburator then stop. Can you help me with this problem?
I need to replace the gas filter in a featherlite weedeater 18cc. it rotted off and I dont know what line it goes on? is the other gas line a return gas line?
Check to see if your feul line is cracked or it is drawing air . Check your clamps that hold the lines on . One other thing you can check is to see if any bolts are loose that hold the carb on . Best of luck Ed.
the float in the carb is stuck un screw the nut on the bottom of the carb take it off t6hen put it back on that should do it in the mean time leave that thing out side
gas line is 1/8" ID. NAPA autoparts sells replacement gas line that works but has an OD that will not fit hole in plastic frame where the carb sits. Just drill the plastic to the OD of new gas line and use needlenose pliers to install the line. Same goes for the gas tank. Just make sure it is tight fit so it does not leak.
There is two sizes of line. I see the large one goes to the large port on the primer button and then to the fuel tank. The small one goes from the primer button to the carb. The problem is there are two hose connections on the carb. I believe one is a vent, but I am not sure what one it is. I have a 36cc 2-cycle model 358.352161
