In system speed dialing results are a truncation of the first character and inabillity to place the call for all saved numbers which are entered. eg. 978 452-1000 results in 784521000 being dialed and failure of the efforts to place the call. I am uncertain if the restrictions TRS etc are blocking my efforts to speed dial. I did list the phones as COS 1. Maybe there are other factors in programing the phone and / or system I do not understand.
Any help is appreciated.
Also, my efforts to progam the PBX by modem have failed despite many alternate efforts. I now use USB access but this is done with some difficulty because of the particular setup I have.
Thanks
Panisonictel.com has a FAQ for this model here
In that FAQ, there is this explanation of your problem:
When I tried to access speed
dial, it does not call out.
When storing speed dial
number of external parties, the stored speed dial number must include CO
(outside line) access code (9 or 81…etc) even with direct line access. If the
external number is 1234567, you must store the speed dial number as 91234567.
This rule applies to all system speed
dial, station speed dial and speed dial key.
It looks like you're just going to have to add a leading 9 to all the speed dial numbers for that function to work.

This seems to be the answer to the speed dialing problem. I tried one sample number and with a change to a 9 added before the phn number it works..Thanks!
Any ideas on why my modem will not link up to the pbx consul. I can get into the programing with the usb line but I have no laptop and must overcome some hurdles to make this work.
Thaks.
