the bettary life of n70 really too short.
if u want to format the phone memory follow the instruction: switch off ur phn,then press the '*' nd '3' nd 'call recieve key',and then open ur phn by continue pressing those 3keys. after u see the time zone selecting display,stop pressing those 3 keys.

Format Nokia n70(full reset)
Here's how to hard reset or format your Nokia N70 mobile phone:
1) Switch off your phone
2) Press and hold these 3 keys together:
-green dial key
-the star key(*)
-the number 3 key
3) Power on the phone

first of all you need to backup all your data.Installed applications may get deleted by undergoing the following process.So,be warned !!

***best option***: do a software update.You can find all the necessary pc softwares from nokia's official website.You'll need the data cable that came with your handset.

alternate method 1 : press *#7370#

alternate method 2:
if that didn't worked,turn off the phone.remove the battery and leave for 1 min.Then re-insert the battery and press "power on button" WHILE pressing "green key(dial key)"+" star(*)key "+"number 3 key"

Dear customer,
Try to use the code *#7370# to do a master reset on ur N70, this usuauly works. Or else try formating the phone , press (send + * + 3) keys at same time then press power key until power on and keep pressing the three keys for 40sec. If the above given solutions dont have the desired effect then you have to search for cracked phoinex software and flash your phone with USB cable if still the same then it is hardware problem ( either faulty OMAP or faulty RAM ).

• Press the on off switch to the phone

Do not let go of the keys until you see a formatting screen. After a few minutes the format will be complete,your phone will be back to factory settings.All your data will get erased.

Press and hold 3 keys;
Green dial key, * (star key) & no. 3 key and then press the power on/off to swtich on the N70 phone.
release all the keys after you see NOKIA logo blink to white and wait until your phone re-boot..

make sure your battery is fully charge

try manualy format by pressing 4 speacial keys,,,,,,,,,,

In order to minimize applications on Nokia N70, you cant press the red key.
You should press menu key twice and try minimizing it.
