These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes).From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it.This will make repair easy.These are called blinking codes. mine do the exact same thing. it might be a problem with the power supply board?? i have no idea, but please tell me if you find a solution

the timer or wake up timer is set,turn them off

i think you have a fault in the standby power board.
a kit is availalable for this and can be obtained from www.tvs-services.com or cal 01245392539 monday to friday 9 to 5

It apears you have a low voltage problem. This is not an in home repair and may be time to consider purchase of new model. Hope this helps good luck

Circuit board inside the TV was loose!!

tv power goes off when vcd / dish receiver is connected

1)Whenever the word "sometimes" is used,a good visual inspection of PS,horiz,regulation & vert. circuits are needed.Solder any/all bad connects. 2)IHVT aka flyback is the usual culprit. Get part # and ask distributor how popular it is? Any info gathered when doing repairwork can be helpful.!
