How do I open Compact Disc drawer on my acer laptop Aspire E1 572g-6854 ^

Insert a DVD movie disc into the player and close the drawer. Wait 10 or 15 seconds. The disc should spin up and recognise the content of the disc and start playing.

You will have better luck on a Windows PC solution if you post this under a non-Macintosh forum. Also, please include what model Acer Aspire. Acer has had literally hundreds of different model computers called "Aspire", since the mid 1990s.

However, Windows PCs with Internal CD and DVD drives, in general, will have an emergency eject lever on them.

1. Look at the front of the DVD drive to find a small hole. It will be about the right size to stick a straightened out paper clip into it.
2. Do That. Straighten out a paperclip and stick it straight in until you feel a resistance.
3. Keep pushing on that until the drawer of the DVD drive opens enough to grab it with your fingers.
4. Slowly pull the drawer open to retrieve your disc.
5. Seek hardware repair or replace the drive if it continues to not operate via the push button on the front of the drive.

There should a small pin hole on drive. Use a straightened paper clip. Push in and it should open.

on the cd drawer you'll see a little hole, just push a pin in the hole and the drawer will open.

There is very little you can, these items in general cannot be repaired. Go to www.ebay.com Type make and model of laptop, refine search to cd/dvd driver.

Please check the mechanism motor and its gears for malfunction.

If you have something inside that you need out fast. Take a paper clip and straighten it out and push it in the small hole. There is a release clip inside that will allow the drawer to open. You have to use a little (key word, a little) force to open it. Don't cram it and don't be light eiether. You will see the drawer try to open up. Now once the drawer is open you have a new dilema. The laptops cd might be failing. I am going to assume nothing has been changed (new drivers) but you might want to take it by the Nerd Herd and see what is wrong. If you are posting this you must be unsure, so pay them $30.00 and be sure and watch them. Not because you can't trust them, but for you to learn. Always learn.
