If I reset my laptop and remove files, and clean the drive can my laptop pick another windows instead of ten?

NO,if you want to install win 7 ,u must download booable maker software from the internet https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjwv5Lo5tHgAhWzUhUIHdzYDfoQFjAAegQICBAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.poweriso.com%2Ftutorials%2Fhow-to-make-win7-bootable-usb-drive.htm&usg=AOvVaw3BYzYkSC-Ty_Cky_Y_Kfn5 and after that prepare a win7 os into USB Flash disk by using ur bootable maker software and finally cheek once ur bios setting is waiter UEFI or CSM in boot option menu then install Ur win 7 by deleting the entire partition and crate a new partition for the Win7

How do i reload the operating system?

I assume you have windows 7
If you are trying to recover a key of an already installed program on your computer there are freeware keyfinders on the internet
http://download.cnet.com/%7Bvalue=http://www.download.com/magical-jelly-bean-keyfinder/3000-18487_4-10079600.html The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install windows from your registry.

It has the options to copy the key to clipboard, save it to a text file, or print it for safekeeping.
Serial keys Location
Lift up your computer and look for a tag.
The tag will probably be located on the side of the computer, or on the bottom of the unit for a laptop.
The service tag is generally a large black and white tag and it will say "Service Tag Number."
Do not confuse this tag with the Windows tag, which may be located in the same area on the computer.

bootable USB guide, here we assume that you are using either Vista or Windows 7 to create a bootable USB.
1. Insert your USB (4GB+ preferable) stick to the system and backup all the data from the USB as we are going to format the USB to make it as bootable.
2. Open elevated Command Prompt. To do this, type in CMD in Start menu search field and hit Ctrl + Shift + Enter. Alternatively, navigate to Start > All programs >Accessories > right click on Command Prompt and select run as administrator.
3. When the Command Prompt opens, enter the following command:
DISKPART and hit enter.
LIST DISK and hit enter.
Once you enter the LIST DISK command, it will show the disk number of your USB drive. In the below image my USB drive disk no is Disk 1.

4. In this step you need to enter all the below commands one by one and hit enter. As these commands are self explanatory, you can easily guess what these commands do.
SELECT DISK 1 (Replace DISK 1 with your disk number)
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
SELECT PARTITION 1
ACTIVE
FORMAT FS=NTFS
(Format process may take few seconds)
ASSIGN
EXIT
Don't close the command prompt as we need to execute one more command at the next step. Just minimize it.

5. Insert your Windows DVD in the optical drive and note down the drive letter of the optical drive and USB media. Here I use "D" as my optical (DVD) drive letter and "H" as my USB drive letter.
6. Go back to command prompt and execute the following commands:
D:CD BOOT and hit enter. Where "D" is your DVD drive letter.
CD BOOT and hit enter to see the below message.
BOOTSECT.EXE/NT60 H:
(Where "H" is your USB drive letter)

7. Copy Windows DVD contents to USB.
You are done with your bootable USB. You can now use this bootable USB as bootable DVD on any computer that comes with USB boot feature (most of the current motherboards support this feature).
Note that this bootable USB guide will not work if you are trying to make a bootable USB on XP computer.

I forgot my username on my hp mini and there is no disk or anywhere to insert a disc on my hp what do I do?

Hello,
If you are running Windows on your HP Mini, you can use OphCrack to recover your username (and password for that matter). Since you don't have a CD-Rom drive in the HP Mini, you will have to use a bootable USB stick.

Link to OphCrack

The instructions to create a bootable live USB version of OphCrack from OphCrack Wiki:
On Windows:
1. Download the ISO file of the ophcrack LiveCD
2. Download tazusb (Slitaz installer) from our website
3. Connect your USB stick to your machine
4. Launch tazusb.exe and follow the instructions

Once you have your bootable USB stick, insert it in to your computer and during the bootup process, press the corresponding button to see your Boot Options/Boot Menu and choose the USB stick.

OphCrack will run and show you your stored username and passwords.

Please let me know if I can further assist you.

Regards,
KYTechnology

No bootable device available

Im not sure what you mean by this ...but assuming that you are asking for a solution to reinstall without a cd -rom to boot from ...this can be done with a bootable flash memory stick ..(usb)
the condition is to take a look into the Bios and see if at the boot section ..it has a boot from another device option ...
if it does..just select it as first option ...than get a 4 G flash memory usb stick ...and follow this instructions ...or get someone that made one before to make a bootable stick with the OS on it ....
in case your want another operation system ..there are exactly all steps on google ...just type installing ......from bootable memory usb device
for example here is for Xp...http://www.articlesbase.com/computers-articles/how-to-create-an-xp-bootable-usb-flash-drive-570094.html

HP 520 Notebook. Shuts down before installing new OS.

I agree a clean install is always the better, fresh start J
OK it sounds like missing drivers, what you have to do is create a new installation CD that will load the drivers for your laptop as it boots. I haven’t try this method with windows 7, but I know it works well with Windows XP. Try and create a new Windows XP CD with the drivers see: http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/35/
The start a new installation with this Windows XP CD and reformat you computer, after that you can do a new upgrade to windows 7
