Going through the motion is that the printer starts, the head goes back and forward like printing but when it is done blank paper comes out no words no photos any thoughts. will print from hub PC with no problems just a problem from network laptops....thanks

try a few things, your printer maintenance my need to be adjusted, such as settings. i have one at work and i hate it, canon printers are so non-user friendly. do you have both a black and a color cartridge in it, if so you will have to tell it in the maintenance settings, if you only have one or the other installed you have to put both in it wont print with only one cartridge. if you just bought it and still have everything that it came with...take it back and buy a lexmark.

you may have a blocked printhead, try running a clean from the printers own maintenance program
