I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY AKAI PT 4298 HD REAR PROJECTION TELEVISION. WHEN I TURN THE TV "ON" THE TV IS NOT TURNING "ON". ONLY THE TIMER LED IS FLASHING RED, WHICH NORMALLY IS GREEN. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
My AKAI 42 rear projection self focus set has blue shadows on everything and too much red, I cant seem to adjust it and self focus does not help?
I had the same problem everyone is describing. Happy TV in Las Vegas fixed it for 275 bucks, including after hours pickup and delivery. Google them. This is a fixable problem. The guy who says to buy a new TV has no idea what he is talking about.
THE PROBLEM IS A MAIN SIGNAL PCB PART A94-00139A , YOU MIGHT AS WELL BUY A NEW TV, THE TV YOU PURCHASED WAS A CHEAP TV AND THOSE DONT LAST AND PARTS ARE HARD TO FIND
Don't order parts from partstore.com. They don't let you return parts and the customer service rep admitted to me that they are not required to give you details on their return policy prior to your order. These guys are a rip off if you are trying to return parts. For all you know the reason the part didn't work is if the part was defective but they don't care. They got their money so what the heck. Just beware of these guys.

same problem - no picture red light not the green light comes on.
Having same problem with Akai PT4298HD. I turn it on I hear the thing come on but no picture or sound....only blinking light 8-9 times and then it goes off.....any help out there.
Exact same problem. Any solutions out there other than to get rid of TV? Need help fixing it. Thanks!

Same problem. Power source to TV is fine. Won't turn on at all. No picture, no sound. The red "timer" light blinks if you try to turn the TV on with the remote. Please help
plugged it in and pressed the power button on the tv nothing happens. but when i press the power button on the remote the tv comes on but no sound or picture and the little red timer light just stays on. help me!
