I had Netflix on my account and when I go to it it say I need to be connected to internet I have internet

Check your windows firewall, it may be blocking netflix. Also, when you follow the process to allow the program through the firewall, make sure the box is checked to "notify you" when windows blocks a program.

Spysweeper and internet explorer

Webroot is an Internet security company based out of Colorado.
The company, founded in 1997, offers Internet security programs for businesses and home users.
The Webroot Internet Security Essentials and Webroot Internet Security Complete programs include a firewall that's designed to monitor incoming data and filter out potentially unsafe data.
Consequently, Webroot does not recommend that you disable the firewall.
Nevertheless, if you want to use a different firewall or if the firewall is blocking legitimate data, disable it with a few clicks.

Launch the Webroot program.
Click "Edit Settings" under "PC Security" in the "Home" panel.
The PC Security panel opens.
Click the "Firewall" tab.
Check the circle next to "Allow All Traffic." The Webroot Firewall is now disabled.

Error 138 (net::ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED

Either: peerblock is blocking your sites
Or: This is most likely your antivirus program blocking Chrome from accessing the internet. The firewall is blocking Google Chrome because the antivirus program no longer recognizes it - even though it is on the list of permitted programs. To fix this problem, make sure your antivirus and/or firewall software are configured as a trusted application to allow Chrome to access the internet.

How to add an exception to your Windows Firewall - XP, Vista and 7

Windows Firewall protects your computer by blocking communications (i.e., bugs and malicious software) attempting to connect to your computer. Sometimes, Windows Firewall will block a program that you use from connecting to the Internet. If you are experiencing this problem, but you are still able to browse the Web (demonstrating that it's not a general problem with your Internet connection), you can add a Windows Firewall exception for the program that's having problems. This will allow you to use that program without Windows Firewall blocking it.

Setup Steps - Windows XP

  1. Click Start. Click All Programs and find the program that you want to add an exception for. Then right-click the program and click Properties.
  1. On Shortcut tab in the Properties dialog box, right-click the Target box, and then click Copy.
Click Cancel to close the Properties dialog box.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
From the Control Panel, click Security Centre
From the Security Centre, click Windows Firewall.
On the Exceptions tab, click Add Program
In the Add a Program dialog box, click Browse - > (IE7)
In the Browse dialog box, right-click the File name box, then click Paste.
Click Open.
Click OK.
Windows Firewall adds an exception for your program. Click OK again.

My IPhone 3gs connects to my home network but doesn?t actually send and receive data. It shos the wifi on the top cannot able to acess the internet.

Check, is your PC has connected properly on network?

You have to also allow this application in Firewall Exception list. If firewall blocked it then unlock it.

Your problem must have to solve now.

Thanks.
Happy to help you.

Cannot connect to internet - get told cannot connect the web page. No addresses connect....

it is almost certainly your firewall or other security software blocking the connection Make sure that your firewall program is configured to allow internet access.Besides personal firewalls, other security programs, including Norton or Symantec Antivirus, can block internet access or cause other connection issues, especially after the browser is updated.

CAN'T SIGN IN TO YM

you may have a firewall that is blocking. If you have recently installed any antivirus programs, they sometimes come with firewalls that block certain programs from accessing the internet. Just adjust your firewall setting or remove your firewall entirely. although I don't recommend you turning off your firewall as it is your first line of defense when on the internet.

Can,t unstiall norton

Norton Internet Security 2004/2005 has an effective firewall. This is in addition to the Windows firewall. Firewalls monitors and restricts information that travels between your computer and a network or the Internet and provides a line of defense against someone who might try to access your computer from outside the Firewall without your permission. In this case the windows firewall was disabled and Norton Firewall was the main one. When some program from your computer tries to connect to the internet, Norton Internet Security gives a prompt, which has options to allow or block the access. Many times the recommended option is to block the access. So be careful to see what you are blocking internet access before clicking OK. Click the Norton Security icon at the bottom right corner in your system tray. On the pop up window, first check if you have not clicked ?Block Traffic? button. As this will block all internet access. If that is ok, maybe the program has been blocked access and has to be unblocked manually. But it was not easy to find where was the blocked list. But here is it location. Go to Norton Internet Security > System and Settings and this is what you see ... Then you see that the Personal firewall is turned on to protect from unauthorized access to spyware, adware and other unwanted software. Click ?Configure? button. Go to Programs and scroll down the list for Manual Program Control. There you will see the individual internet access settings for each individual program. And you see that Mozilla Firefox/Internet Explorer setting shows ?Block All?. From the drop down list select ?Permit All? and now open Firefox. It works! And he is back to using firefox as his default browser again. Now you can scroll through the entire list and individually set the programs to allow and block internet access. Now you may fix some programs not working with the internet which you might have blocked by mistake. You can also set some allowed programs to block. I hope this tip helps. Now figure out the Custom option yourself!
