How to troubleshoot a sony kdlv40xbr1 no video issue

please ask them to upgrade firmware .or repair or replace the mother board.

The T'Con board should be checked and replaced. Before replacing it check all connections comes to it and go out from it. Re-seat all flat cables connected to it. Check this to know more about the fault to this set.

HDMI contains both video, color and audio all in one cable----audio connection with it is not without issues.

You ca nget the manual on the link below on how to install the wall mount. Just click on wall mount manual and on page 2 will telll you how to remove the stand.

and I would say that the UK version supports NTSC.

This is probably a audio issue this could be a audio/video issue board

May be a compatibility issue with Quicktime 7.6.4. Need to go back to 7.6

I would bet on it being a panel issue, you can try a new t-con but I don't think its going to correct it, may be time to buy a new set
